Introducing the Gibson Springsteen Collection: A Tribute to The Boss

Gibson has introduced a new line of guitars inspired by the Bruce Springsteen biopic Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere. The collection includes a variety of Gibson and Epiphone acoustics, some of which were handcrafted at the Gibson acoustic craftory in Bozeman, Montana. These guitars were used in the filming and OST recording to capture the instruments, tones, and signal chains of the early 1980s.
Lead actor Jeremy Allen White can be seen playing many of these guitars in his role as the Boss, with Springsteen himself famously using a late-1950s Gibson SJ-200 on his 1982 album Nebraska. The collection features a specially curated selection of Gibson and Epiphone acoustics, including the 1957 SJ-200 Reissue known as “The Famous Fifties Jumbo.” This new Gibson Custom 1957 SJ-200 offers hand-selected maple for the back and sides, a headstock stinger, and a thermally aged top.
Another highlight is the SJ-200 Original, known as “The King of the Flat-tops,” first released in 1937. The reissue of the SJ-200 Original includes features like the carved four-bar Moustache bridge, an engraved tortoise pickguard, mother-of-pearl crown fretboard and headstock inlays, and flamed maple back and sides. The collection also includes variations on the SJ-200, with Gibson models priced between $3,699 and $8,499, and Epiphone models priced at $1,499.
