Sam Smith Opens Up About Teenage Liposuction Experience and Body Image Struggles

Sam Smith shared their experience of undergoing liposuction as a teenager during a recent podcast interview. The singer revealed that they had the procedure at the age of 13 to address body image issues and teasing they faced due to their chest. Despite the surgery being successful, Sam struggled with food and body image, wearing a bandage longer than necessary to gain advantages at school. The singer's parents were supportive of the decision to undergo surgery, but Sam found the experience challenging emotionally and physically. Sam is currently performing a residency at the Warsaw in Brooklyn, with the next concert scheduled for 19 November.
