City Section Flag Football Playoffs: Exciting Matchups and Semifinal Previews

High school flag football in the City Section playoffs saw some exciting matchups on Friday. In the Open Division, San Pedro defeated Verdugo Hills 23-0, while LA Marshall beat Wilmington Banning 31-20. Panorama edged out LA Wilson 6-0, and Eagle Rock secured an 18-14 victory over Narbonne.
In Division I, Carson triumphed over Venice 18-7, Franklin defeated Sylmar 20-12, El Camino Real upset Birmingham 12-7, and Bell emerged victorious over Garfield 17-12.
The Division II games saw Sun Valley Magnet dominating South East 34-8, Angelou defeating Mendez 19-6, San Fernando beating Lincoln 20-7, and Sherman Oaks CES upsetting Crenshaw 18-12.
In Division III, Van Nuys overcame South Gate 14-6, Westchester crushed Monroe 50-7, Arleta defeated LA Hamilton 19-6, and Hawkins dominated Chatsworth 52-0.
The upcoming semifinals on Wednesday will feature exciting matchups in all divisions. In the Open Division, LA Marshall will face San Pedro, while Panorama will take on Eagle Rock. In Division I, Carson will play Franklin, and El Camino Real will challenge Bell. Division II will see Angelou against Sun Valley Magnet and Sherman Oaks CES against San Fernando. In Division III, Westchester will compete against Van Nuys, and Arleta will face Hawkins.
