Happy’s Place: Reuniting the Beloved Cast of Reba and Welcoming Iconic Guest Stars

Happy’s Place is bringing back the beloved cast of Reba and is now looking to add some iconic guest stars to the mix. Melissa Peterman, who plays Gabby on the show, expressed her excitement about the possibility of having familiar faces make guest appearances on the series. With the show set in a bar, the revolving door of characters could make for some entertaining moments.
Reba, which originally aired from 2001 to 2007, starred Reba McEntire, Melissa Peterman, Christopher Rich, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, and Steve Howey. The show followed the story of a single mom navigating life after her husband leaves her for another woman. The reunion of McEntire and Peterman on Happy’s Place allowed for the casting of some familiar faces in a new sitcom centered around Bobbie inheriting her father’s restaurant and finding a new business partner in her long-lost half-sister.
Season 1 of Happy’s Place introduced viewers to Peterman’s character Gabby, who is a bartender on the show, while Howey, Rich, and Swisher also made appearances. Swisher is set to return in season 2 as an influencer who helps Gabby with a commercial for the tavern. The cast members shared their excitement about the evolution of the show and the deepening relationships between the characters, making for a more cohesive ensemble.
Reba teased that season 2 of Happy’s Place will feature even bigger and better stories, showcasing the growth and progression of the characters and their relationships. The cast, despite not all being blood-related on the show, has formed a tight-knit family on set, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for guest stars to join in on the fun. Happy’s Place airs on NBC on Fridays at 8 p.m. ET and streams the next day on Peacock.
