2026 NBA All-Star Game: U.S. vs. World Format Unveiled at the Intuit Dome

The NBA and NBPA have announced a new format for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, featuring a U.S. vs. World competition. The game will take place at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., with NBC/Peacock broadcasting the event on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT. The game will consist of two teams of U.S. players and one team of international players competing in a round-robin tournament with four 12-minute games.

The selection process for the All-Stars will remain the same, with 24 players chosen, 12 from each conference. The starters will be selected by fans, current NBA players, and a media panel, while the reserves will be chosen by NBA head coaches. This year, the All-Stars will be selected without regard to position. If the initial voting does not result in the required number of U.S. and international players, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver will select additional All-Stars to meet the minimum requirements.

In the round-robin tournament, Team A will face Team B in Game 1, with the winner advancing to play Team C in Game 2. The loser of Game 1 will then play against Team C in Game 3. The top two teams by record after Game 3 will compete in the championship game (Game 4). In case of a tie, the point differential in each team's two round-robin games will serve as the tiebreaker.

The 2026 NBA All-Star Game promises to be an exciting event with a new U.S. vs. World format, showcasing the talents of both American and international players. Fans can look forward to an intense competition and thrilling matchups as the best players in the league come together for this annual midseason showcase.
