Remembering Dame Jilly Cooper: A Tribute to a Literary Icon

Renowned author Dame Jilly Cooper tragically passed away after sustaining a fatal head injury from a fall at her residence in Gloucestershire. The incident occurred on October 4, when she was discovered by her family at home in Bisley around 5pm. Despite being initially conscious, Dame Jilly's condition worsened, leading to her transfer to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries the following day at 8.30am, surrounded by her loved ones. The coroner's report confirmed that her death was accidental, caused by a traumatic subdural haematoma.
