Exploring Trey Anastasio's Musical Journey: Part 2 on Wong Notes Podcast

The second part of the interview with Phish's Trey Anastasio is now available on Cory Wong's Wong Notes podcast. In this episode, Trey discusses how purchasing a piano for his 60th birthday has influenced his songwriting process and guitar playing. He shares an unreleased demo he recorded based on this new approach.

During the interview, Trey plays a demo recorded with the other members of Phish, including a brief lyric section sung by him. He also talks about Phish drummer Jon Fishman and plays a 1992 demo for "The Wedge" to highlight Fish's precision in copying drum machine patterns.

Trey mentions some newer bands he enjoys listening to, such as Geese, Mannequin Pussy, MJ Lenderman, Waxahatchee, Adrianne Lenker, and Guerilla Toss, the band of his son-in-law. He also gives a shoutout to the band Wednesday, despite their song "Phish Pepsi," which he found amusing.
