Musical feuds have a long history, with diss tracks being a popular way for artists to express their grievances. From Noel Rosa's samba song 'Rapaz Folgado' in 1933 to Paul McCartney's 'Too Many People' aimed at John Lennon, diss tracks have been a part of the music industry for decades. In recent years, diss tracks have become a lucrative way for artists to gain attention and increase their streaming numbers, leading to significant royalty earnings.
SeatPick conducted a study to determine the most profitable diss track released in the last decade. By compiling a list of diss tracks from Wikipedia and adding recent tracks from Lily Allen's album, the study analyzed Spotify stream counts and estimated royalty earnings using the Music Gateway calculator. This allowed the tracks to be ranked based on their earning potential.
As we approach the end of 2025, one of the most profitable diss tracks of the year is Offset's response to his divorce from Cardi B and rumors of her relationship with NFL star Stefon Diggs. The track is seen as a direct reaction to Cardi B's new relationship, with Offset reportedly criticizing Diggs's character and questioning the speed of Cardi B's rebound, especially considering the public nature of their breakup.
