Mac's battle with chordoma, a rare spinal cancer, began in 2018 and led to multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments. Despite the challenges, Mac's love for music never wavered. Sinise shared that Mac's music has been a source of comfort and inspiration, leading to the release of a posthumous album, "Resurrection & Revival: Part 2," on Mac's birthday in 2024.
Sinise is now working on the third part of the album, with all proceeds from vinyl sales going to the Gary Sinise Foundation to support their mission of helping veterans. Sinise emphasized the importance of honoring Mac's legacy through his music and the foundation's work, highlighting the lasting impact Mac had on those around him.
