Section III Football and Soccer Championships Kick Off with Exciting Matchups
Friday night marked the beginning of the Section III football section championships and soccer state semifinals. The football matchups included Liverpool vs. CBA in Class AA, Whitesboro vs. ESM in Class A, Syracuse ITC vs. New Hartford in Class B, General Brown vs. Cazenovia in Class C, Lowville vs. Dolgeville in Class D, and Morrisville-Eaton vs. Frankfort-Schuyler in 8-man football. In boys soccer, Westhill defeated Albertus Magnus in Class B, while in girls soccer, C-NS faced Oceanside in Class AAA, Marcellus played against Mount Academy in Class B, and Cincinnatus competed with Fillmore in Class D. The games continue on Saturday with more exciting matchups.
