The 2025 International Conference for the Health, Safety, and Welfare of Jockeys will be held on December 11-12 in Hong Kong with a focus on Performance Medicine in Racing—Developing and Protecting the Jockey. The conference will feature 13 sessions covering various topics related to jockey health and wellbeing, with presentations and panel discussions by leading experts in the field.

Key speakers at the conference include Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, Andrew Harding, and Darragh O'Loughlin, who will address important issues in the horse racing industry. Sessions will cover areas such as jockey performance, nutrition, concussion management, injury prevention, and career transitions. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in themed table discussions and live outdoor simulations of raceday medical practices.

Scheduled participants for the conference include a diverse group of professionals involved in jockey health and wellbeing, such as William Audland, Michael Caulfield, and Suzannah Hoult. The event is organized by the Jockey Health and Wellbeing Committee of the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) and is supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC).

The 2025 ICHSWJ is open to all individuals working with jockeys who are interested in improving their health, safety, and welfare. Media representatives are also encouraged to attend the conference. Registration for the event will close at the end of November, and interested participants can visit the ICHSWJ website for more information and to register.
