The proceeds from the shows will benefit Stand Up to Cancer. Malo, who has been battling cancer since 2024, will not perform but plans to attend both nights. The singer shared a video on social media revealing his diagnosis of Leptomeningeal Disease, a form of cancer in the cerebrospinal fluid and leptomeninges. Despite the grim prognosis, Malo expressed gratitude for the support he has received and vowed to continue fighting. The tribute shows will be a special event to honor Malo's legacy with the Mavericks.
