Sir Mick Jagger Celebrates 25th Anniversary of Namesake Centre in Kent

Sir Mick Jagger made a surprise visit to Kent to mark the 25th anniversary of the Mick Jagger Centre, a performing arts venue named after him. The centre, located at Dartford Grammar School For Boys, was opened by Sir Mick in 2000. Known for his role as the lead singer of the Rolling Stones, Sir Mick grew up in Dartford and attended local schools before forming the iconic band with Keith Richards. The Mick Jagger Centre, built at a cost of £2m, is commemorating its milestone with a series of music performances and events this year. Headmaster Julian Metcalf described Sir Mick's visit as the perfect addition to the celebrations. During his visit, Sir Mick expressed his delight at returning to the town.
