Francis Rossi is set to release his new album, The Accidental, which marks a return to a rock sound that has been missing from his solo work. Collaborating with Hiran Ilangantilike and Andy Brook, Rossi takes full creative control on this album, a move he wishes he had made earlier in his career. Reflecting on his time with Status Quo, Rossi admits that he should have asserted more control over the band's direction after their reunion for Live Aid in 1985.
