Long Beach State Men's Basketball Team Dominates Nobel University with 87-54 Victory

Long Beach State men's basketball team secured their first win of the season with a dominant 87-54 victory over Nobel University at the Walter Pyramid. The team showcased balanced scoring with Petar Majstorovic leading the way with 12 points and six rebounds. Derrick Michael Xzavierro grabbed seven rebounds as Long Beach outrebounded Nobel 46-27 and forced 21 turnovers.
The game saw Long Beach take an early lead and maintain control throughout. Despite a brief push from Nobel, Long Beach held a 31-24 lead at halftime before exploding in the second half. The team shot 50% from the field and 3-point range in the second half, extending their lead to as much as 35 points.
Former Nobel player Immanuel Lewis made his debut for Long Beach, contributing to the team's strong performance. Long Beach's shooting efficiency and rebounding dominance allowed them to outscore Nobel in the paint, on fast breaks, and off turnovers.
Nobel's efforts were led by Mykale Mundy with 15 points and Kevin Hymes with 11 points. Long Beach's victory marked the end of a 19-game losing streak and set the stage for their upcoming game against Montana State to close out the Battle at the Beach event.
