Texas A&M Dominates Samford Bulldogs in Pre-Texas Showdown
Texas A&M faced off against Samford Bulldogs in a game where they executed their plan flawlessly. The Aggies strategically rested key players like Rueben Owens, EJ Smith, and Mario Craver to prepare for the upcoming Texas matchup. Despite missing these players, Texas A&M managed to establish a commanding 28-0 lead early in the second quarter, allowing their backups and younger players to showcase their skills.
Marcel Reed took charge of the Aggie offense in the initial five drives, impressively completing 10 out of 15 passes for 120 yards and 3 touchdowns. Ashton Bethel-Roman continued to shine by catching two touchdown passes from Reed, showcasing his versatility. With three running backs sidelined, Amari Daniels seized the opportunity and delivered a stellar performance with 106 yards on 9 carries, including a touchdown.
Following Reed's departure from the game, the other scholarship quarterbacks on the roster had their chance to shine. True freshman Brady Hart displayed his skills by completing 5 out of 9 passes for 62 yards. Another true freshman, Tiger Riden, made a significant impact by rushing for 45 yards on 11 carries and scoring his first college touchdown.
