Witnesses reported that a gray 2018 Audi A3 was racing another vehicle on North Wenatchee Avenue before the Audi veered out of its lane while exiting the highway off-ramp at a high speed, leading to a head-on collision with a westbound 2024 GMC Sierra.

The impact of the crash claimed the life of one juvenile passenger in the GMC Sierra, while the 18-year-old driver of the Audi and another juvenile passenger were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
