Jeremiyah Love's Heisman Hopes Soar After Dominant Performance Against Syracuse
Could Notre Dame's Heisman Trophy drought soon be coming to an end?
Star running back Jeremiyah Love had a standout performance on Saturday, rushing for an impressive 171 yards and three touchdowns in just eight touches as Notre Dame dominated Syracuse 70-7 on Senior Day. Love's exceptional performance significantly boosted his Heisman Trophy odds.
Prior to the game, Love was considered an 18-1 (+1800) pick to win the Heisman Trophy, but after his remarkable showing, his odds have surged. Fan Duel now lists Love as a 5.5-1 (+550) favorite to win the prestigious award, making him the third-best contender nationally behind Indiana's Fernando Mendoza and Ohio State's Julian Sayin.
Despite initial doubts about Love's Heisman chances, his exceptional performance against Syracuse has put him in a strong position to contend for the award. While other quarterbacks like Mendoza, Sayin, and Vanderbilt's Diego Pavia are also strong contenders, Love's electrifying play has made him a standout candidate for the Heisman Trophy.
