Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Rumors: Hugh Jackman Teases Wolverine Return and Star-Studded Cast Confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday

Hugh Jackman has hinted at a possible return as Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Despite previously stating he was done with the role after 2017’s Logan, Jackman now suggests he may not be entirely finished with the character. His appearance on The Graham Norton Show sparked speculation about his potential return, with Jackman teasing that he is not ruling out the possibility of donning the claws again in the future.
While Jackman’s future in the MCU remains uncertain, several of his former X-Men co-stars are set to return in the upcoming blockbuster Avengers: Doomsday. The star-studded cast includes Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, Alan Cumming, Channing Tatum, James Marsden, and Rebecca Romijn reprising their roles from the X-Men franchise. Additionally, a lineup of MCU favorites such as Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Paul Rudd, and Anthony Mackie are confirmed to appear in the film.
Avengers: Doomsday, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, is expected to bring together the Avengers, the New Avengers, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four in a battle against the villainous Doctor Doom. The film will see these iconic superhero teams joining forces to prevent Doctor Doom, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr., from unleashing chaos across the Multiverse. James Marsden, who played Cyclops in the X-Men series, expressed his excitement about returning to the superhero genre in Avengers: Doomsday, describing it as a rewarding experience to be part of such a monumental project.
