One Piece Season 3: The Adventure Continues in Cape Town

Netflix has officially started production on Season 3 of "One Piece" in Cape Town, South Africa. The streaming platform renewed the live-action adaptation for a third season before the Season 2 premiere. The Season 2 cast members Mikaela Hoover, Joe Manganiello, Lera Abova, and Sendhil Ramamurthy have all been promoted to series regulars for the upcoming season. The cast includes returning stars Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, and Taz Skylar, along with new cast members like Charithra Chandran and Cole Escola as Bon Clay, and Xolo Maridueña as Portgas D. Ace.

Season 2 of the show is titled "One Piece: Into the Grand Line," where Luffy and the Straw Hats embark on a journey through the dangerous Grand Line in search of the world's greatest treasure. The season promises fiercer adversaries and perilous quests as they encounter new enemies and bizarre islands along the way. Showrunners, writers, and executive producers for Season 2 are Matt Owens and Joe Tracz, while Tracz and Ian Stokes take on those roles for Season 3. Executive producers include "One Piece" creator Eiichiro Oda, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes, Christoph Schrewe, and Steven Maeda. The show is a collaboration between Shueisha, Tomorrow Studios, and Netflix.
