Kiss 50th Anniversary Super Deluxe Box Set: Unreleased Recording of Gene Simmons Performing 'Strange Ways' and More

Kiss has released a new box set that includes a previously unreleased recording of Gene Simmons performing the Ace Frehley-written song "Strange Ways" from the album Hotter Than Hell. The track was recorded during a rehearsal in Davenport, Iowa in 1975. The box set, part of the 50th Anniversary Super Deluxe edition of Alive!, also features a bluesy instrumental jam from the same session.
Ace Frehley initially wrote "Strange Ways" for Kiss' second studio album but handed over lead vocal duties to drummer Peter Criss due to a lack of confidence in his singing abilities. The box set includes two complete concerts from 1975, as well as songs from a rehearsal session in Davenport and a show in Cleveland. The box set is available for purchase on the band's official website.
