Kris Barras has launched a new project that draws inspiration from his time with the Supersonic Blues Machine. The band, Hollow Souls, features a fresh lineup led by the talented Phoebe Jane and includes dynamic guest performances. The group was born out of a jam session at Momentum Studios in Plymouth, where Barras and producer Josiah J Manning collaborated with other musicians to create a raw and soulful sound.
Barras, known for his heavier blues-rock sound with the Kris Barras Band, wanted to explore a more bluesy direction without impacting his main project. With bassist Leighton Allen and drummer Joe Harris on board, Barras and Manning crafted songs organically, capturing the energy of live performances. The track "Bad Things" exemplifies their spontaneous approach, with Jane taking on lead vocals to great effect.
Phoebe Jane, a longtime collaborator of Barras, stepped into the spotlight as the lead vocalist for Hollow Souls.
