High-Speed Chase on US 95: 18-Year-Old Driver Apprehended by Las Vegas Police

An 18-year-old driver was apprehended in the early hours of Monday following a high-speed pursuit on US 95, as reported by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The chase unfolded at approximately 12:30 a.m. on December 1, with the department's helicopter, AIR5, observing a light-colored sedan traveling at speeds ranging from 120 to 140 miles per hour. The vehicle was seen dangerously maneuvering close to other vehicles, passing on the shoulder, and emitting sparks at times. Eventually, a patrol officer managed to pull over the car on the southbound I-15 ramp from US 95. The driver, displaying signs of impairment, was accompanied by a 16-year-old, a 17-year-old, and another 18-year-old. Following the arrest of the driver, the vehicle was impounded.
