Apple Announces App Store Award Winners: Tiimo, Pokémon TCG Pocket, and AI Technology Stand Out
Apple has revealed its annual list of App Store Award winners, recognizing the top apps and games of the year. Tiimo was named the best iPhone app, while Pokémon TCG Pocket won the title of iPhone game of the year. AI technology was prominently featured among the winners, with apps like Tiimo using visual AI to help users plan tasks and Detail simplifying video editing with an AI-powered "Auto Edit" feature. StoryGraph and Be My Eyes also utilize machine learning AI to offer book recommendations and visual descriptions for blind and low-vision users, respectively. Strava, the Apple Watch app of the year, includes an AI assistant for workout insights. The winners span various categories, including iPad, Mac, Vision Pro, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Arcade. Additionally, apps that made a cultural impact were recognized for their contributions to promoting understanding and inclusivity. Apple initially selected 45 finalists in November before narrowing down the list to 17 winners.
