The film "It Ends With Us" was a commercial success, grossing $351 million on a $25 million budget, but the behind-the-scenes drama has led to a legal battle between Lively and Baldoni. Lively has sued Baldoni, the film's producers, and publicists, claiming she was subjected to a social media smear campaign after speaking out against Baldoni's alleged sexual harassment. Baldoni previously sued Lively and Ryan Reynolds for defamation, but his claims were dismissed by the court.
Baldoni's attorneys argue that Lively's grievances are minor and do not constitute adverse employment actions necessary to prove retaliation.
