Michael Martin Murphey Celebrates 50th Anniversary of Blue Sky Night Thunder with Special Performance at Waco Hippodrome

Michael Martin Murphey, the renowned singer-songwriter, is set to perform his "Cowboy Christmas" show at the Waco Hippodrome on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. This year holds special significance as it marks the 50th anniversary of his album Blue Sky Night Thunder and the platinum single "Wildfire." To commemorate this milestone, Murphey will be joined by CMA Male Vocalist of the Year winner Cody Johnson for a duet of "Wildfire." Additionally, he is collaborating with notable Nashville artists to re-record the Blue Sky Night Thunder album. Murphey is also starring in the upcoming feature film, Wildfire: The Legend of the Cherokee Ghost Horse, which is inspired by his iconic song "Wildfire" and features a star-studded cast including Anne Heche, Adrian Paul, Chevel Shepherd, and Moses Brings Plenty.
