His book, "American Coach: The Triumph and Tragedy of Notre Dame Legend Frank Leahy," features an excerpt written by Fighting Irish coach Marcus Freeman. Maisel's recusal meant he could not participate in discussions involving Notre Dame during the selection process. Despite the initial cancellation, Maisel's book signing will proceed as planned, with a future visit to campus scheduled for promotion.
