Sir Roger Daltrey's Knighthood and Teenage Cancer Trust Concerts 2026

Roger Daltrey, the iconic frontman of The Who, was recently knighted for his contributions to charity and music. The 81-year-old singer received the honour from the Prince of Wales at Windsor Castle, describing it as a dream come true. Daltrey is best known for his work with the Teenage Cancer Trust, organizing charity benefit shows at London's Royal Albert Hall that have raised over £34 million in the past 25 years.
Reflecting on his knighthood, Daltrey expressed gratitude for the recognition of his work with the Teenage Cancer Trust. He emphasized that the honour is not just for him but for all the individuals who have supported the charity's success. Daltrey recently passed on the role of curating the annual concert series to Robert Smith from The Cure, who has lined up an exciting lineup of artists for the 2026 shows.
The upcoming Teenage Cancer Trust concerts in March 2026 will feature performances by Elbow, MRCY, Mogwai, Craven Faults, Manic Street Preachers, The Joy Formidable, My Bloody Valentine, Chvrches, Garbage, Placebo, Wolf Alice, Nilüfer Yanya, and a night of comedy with Stewart Lee and Dara O'Briain.
