"Ted" is making a comeback with a new season on Peacock. The show, led by Seth MacFarlane, follows the story of an R-rated teddy bear brought to life by a childhood wish. The second season is set to premiere on March 5 and is a prequel to the popular "Ted" movies from the 2010s.
The first season of "Ted" was a huge success on Peacock, becoming the most-watched original title on the streaming platform. The TV series takes viewers back to the '90s, where John (played by Max Burkholder) and Ted (voiced by MacFarlane) navigate high school and get into all sorts of misadventures.
In the upcoming season, set in 1994, John and Ted are entering their senior year in Boston. The familiar faces of John's parents, Matty and Susan, as well as his cousin Blaire, will also be returning for the new season. MacFarlane not only voices Ted but also serves as a writer, executive producer, director, and co-showrunner on the series.
The show is produced by UCP, Fuzzy Door, and MRC, with Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh joining MacFarlane as writers, EPs, and co-showrunners. The executive producers also include Erica Huggins, Alana Kleiman, Jason Clark, and Aimee Carlson. Additionally, an animated sequel series to the original "Ted" films has been announced, with MacFarlane, Wahlberg, Seyfried, and Barth reprising their roles.
