New York Jets Make Roster Moves Ahead of Game Against Jacksonville Jaguars
The New York Jets have made roster moves ahead of their upcoming game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Quarterback Adrian Martinez and defensive back Tre Brown have been elevated to the active roster, while linebacker Cam Jones has been activated from injured reserve. Unfortunately, rookie cornerback Azareye'h Thomas has been placed on injured reserve.
Martinez, a 6'2" quarterback, rejoined the Jets in December after spending the summer with the team. He went undrafted in 2023 but impressed with the Birmingham Stallions in the United Football League, earning MVP honors. Brown, a 5'10" defensive back, was signed to the practice squad in November after stints with the Seahawks and Rams.
Jones, a 6'2" linebacker, sustained a hip injury in Week 6 and was placed on injured reserve in October. He had played in the first 6 games of the season for the Jets. Thomas, a 6'1" cornerback from Florida State, suffered a shoulder injury in a game against the Dolphins after an impressive rookie season with the Jets.
These roster moves will provide the Jets with additional depth and talent as they prepare to face the Jaguars. Martinez, Brown, and Jones will look to make an impact on the field, while the team will miss the contributions of Thomas during his time on injured reserve.
