Clint Trickett: From FSU Quarterback to Arkansas Quarterbacks Coach

Jacksonville State's offensive coordinator, Clint Trickett, who is also a former Florida State quarterback, has been appointed as the new quarterbacks coach for Arkansas. Trickett previously worked as the OC at Jacksonville State under head coach Charles Kelly, who has a background as a defensive coordinator for Florida State and Colorado. Interestingly, Trickett's father, Rick Trickett, is a former FSU offensive line coach and currently coaches the offensive line at Jacksonville State. Kelly has assembled a coaching staff at JSU that includes familiar faces from the college football world.
Many FSU fans may recall Trickett for his memorable fourth-quarter touchdown pass to Rashad Greene against No. 1 Oklahoma in 2011 when he stepped in for an injured EJ Manuel. During his time at FSU from 2010 to 2012, Trickett played in 17 games, throwing for nearly 1,000 yards, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions. He later transferred to West Virginia in 2013, where he continued his collegiate career, accumulating over 4,800 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, and 17 interceptions in 19 games.
Following his playing career, Trickett transitioned into coaching, serving as a quarterbacks coach at East Mississippi, an assistant at Florida Atlantic, and Marshall, and a tight ends/passing game coordinator at Georgia Southern. He most recently accepted the position of quarterbacks coach at Arkansas under new head coach Ryan Silverfield. Trickett brings a wealth of experience as both a player and coach to his new role with the Razorbacks.
