38 Special has announced a series of concert dates for 2026 in support of their latest album, Milestone. The band, led by frontman Don Barnes, will be performing in various states including Illinois, Georgia, South Dakota, Florida, Louisiana, and Texas. The tour will culminate in a performance at the Rock Ribs and Ridges Festival in New Jersey alongside other bands like Blackberry Smoke and the Artimus Pyle Band. Milestone marks 38 Special's return after a long hiatus since their last album, Drivetrain, in 2004. The new album features guest appearances and collaborations with artists like Randy Bachman, Train's Pat Monahan, and Survivor co-founder Jim Peterik, who also produced the album. 38 Special's commercial peak was in the 1980s with hits like "Caught Up in You" and "Second Chance," co-written by Peterik.
In recent years, 38 Special has been touring with bands like Kansas and Jefferson Starship. Donnie Van Zant, the co-founder of the band, also released an album titled Always Look Up with his brother Johnny Van Zant, the current frontman of Lynyrd Skynyrd. The upcoming 2026 tour dates include performances in various cities such as Peoria, Rockford, Greeneville, Evans, Fayetteville, Sarasota, New Braunfels, Lake Charles, Newkirk, Brookings, and Deadwood.
