The Last Wolverine #3: A Tale of Sacrifice and Redemption in the Age of Revelation

The recent Age of Revelation event in the Marvel universe has resulted in the deaths of many heroes, some of whom fell victim to Wolverine, who was under the control of Revelation. Fortunately, Logan has been freed in time for the event's climax, but not without sacrifices, including the loss of another X-Men member.
In The Last Wolverine #3, written by Saladin Ahmed and illustrated by Edgar Salazar, the focus shifts to Leonard Two Bears, a young First Nations individual whom Logan is mentoring in the present day. Leonard, plagued by the Wendigo Curse and violent tendencies, has managed to overcome his anger and transform into a superhero in the future, adopting Logan's alias as his own.
Recruited by Vindicator, the leader of Alpha Flight and Logan's wife in this alternate timeline, Leonard joins forces with Nightcrawler to assist in a plan to save Logan. However, Vindicator's method of saving Logan involves using the Muramasa Blade, a mystical weapon that can nullify Mutant healing abilities, leading to a race against time to prevent a fatal outcome.
Despite initially giving up on Logan, Vindicator's intervention helps break Revelation's hold on Wolverine, allowing him to regain control. As they face off against Revelation's followers, Vindicator stays behind to hold them off while the others ensure Logan's safety. However, the strain of using his powers after years of inactivity takes a toll on Nightcrawler, resulting in a heart attack.
In a desperate move to save his mentor, Leonard unleashes his inner beast to create a diversion, enabling Logan to escape. The issue concludes with Logan mourning the loss of his wife, friend, and protege, vowing to seek vengeance against Revelation for the lives lost.
Fans can now find The Last Wolverine #3 at comic book stores, continuing the gripping saga of Logan and his allies in the Age of Revelation event.
