Unbroken Chain: A Celebration of Phil Lesh's Legacy at the Capitol Theatre

Celebrate the legacy of Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh with a special series of concerts at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. Phil's son, Grahame Lesh, has announced the dates for Unbroken Chain: A Celebration of the Life & Music of Phil Lesh, scheduled for March 12-15, coinciding with what would have been Phil's 86th birthday weekend. Phil had previously celebrated his birthdays on stage at the Capitol Theatre, including his 84th birthday in March 2024, before his passing in October of the same year.
Grahame Lesh initiated the first Unbroken Chain shows in March 2025, creating a heartfelt tradition at a venue that held special significance for his father and family over the years. The upcoming lineup features talented musicians such as Dead & Company's Oteil Burbridge, Luther Dickinson from North Mississippi Allstars, guitarist Daniel Donato, and Rick Mitarotonda from Goose. These artists, some of whom were Phil's friends and collaborators, will honor his musical legacy during the performances.
Tickets for the concerts will be available for purchase starting Friday at 10 a.m. local time. The proceeds from the shows will go towards supporting the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, a charitable organization that provides assistance to musicians in need. Last year's events raised over $250,000 for this cause, showcasing the generosity and support of the community in honoring Phil Lesh's memory.
Join us at the Capitol Theatre for a memorable tribute to Phil Lesh and his enduring impact on the music world. Experience the magic of his music brought to life by a talented lineup of musicians who continue to carry his legacy forward.
