84 Days: Randy Bradbury's New Musical Venture Beyond Pennywise

Randy Bradbury, the bassist of the legendary South Bay punk band Pennywise, has ventured into a new musical project called 84 Days. This Huntington Beach-based trio includes Bradbury on guitar and lead vocals, Grammy-winning rock producer Cameron Webb on bass, and No Doubt’s Adrian Young on drums for their debut album. Despite the departure from Pennywise's sound, 84 Days still leans towards punk rock.

The name "84 Days" originated as an inside joke from Bradbury's teenage years but has taken on a deeper meaning reflecting the changing world. The band's formation was driven by the sheer enjoyment of making music, as Bradbury and Webb found the project too enticing to pass up. Their debut show at DiPiazza’s in Long Beach was well-received, hinting at a promising future for 84 Days.

Bradbury's and Webb's extensive experience in the music industry has provided 84 Days with a solid foundation and valuable connections. When Adrian Young couldn't continue drumming for live shows, Bradbury enlisted Erik "Smelly" Sandin from NOFX to fill in. The band's network of friends and collaborators has been supportive and excited about their new venture.

Despite the initial intention for 84 Days to be a fun side project, the band is committed to delivering high-quality music and performances. Webb, in particular, has dedicated time to honing his bass skills for live shows, emphasizing the band's desire to excel and entertain audiences. With a focus on creating compelling music and putting on engaging shows, 84 Days aims to establish itself as a formidable presence in the music scene.

As 84 Days embarks on their musical journey, the band's potential for growth and success remains uncertain. Whether they continue playing smaller venues or ascend to larger stages, Bradbury and Webb are dedicated to making 84 Days a standout act. While the idea of surpassing Pennywise's popularity may be amusing, the band's primary goal is to deliver memorable performances and connect with audiences through their music.
