St. Vincent Covers David Bowie on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Shares Musical Influences

St. Vincent made a guest appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where she performed a cover of David Bowie's "Young Americans" to launch Colbert's new musical segment, Under the Covers. Prior to her performance, Annie Clark mentioned that she had previously covered the song at a Love Rocks benefit concert in 2023, which Colbert had attended. Colbert shared a conversation he had with a Beacon Theatre employee who praised St. Vincent's boldness in covering the song.

During the interview, Colbert also mentioned some artists that St. Vincent would like to see cover her music, including Erykah Badu, Doechii, and The Slits. This marks St. Vincent's second appearance on Colbert in 2025, following her performance of "Violent Times" from her latest album All Born Screaming in April.

In addition to her television appearances, St. Vincent recently contributed the song "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" to the soundtrack of the film Oh. What. Fun.
