Sammy Hagar recently shared a personal experience about a dream he had involving his late bandmate Eddie Van Halen, which served as the inspiration for his latest single, "Encore, Thank You, Goodnight." In an interview with Loudwire Nights, Hagar revealed that he often dreams about Eddie and described a particular dream where they were in a corner together. In the dream, Eddie would eagerly share new song ideas with Hagar, away from the rest of the band, to avoid outside influences. Hagar vividly remembered the song from his dream upon waking up and immediately started jotting down lyrics and melodies. He quickly recorded the song on his guitar and iPhone, marking the beginning of the creation process for "Encore, Thank You, Goodnight." This unique experience of turning a dream into a song was a first for Hagar, who has previously drawn inspiration from his dreams for songwriting.
