Country Singer Kata Hay Arrested on Vehicular Homicide Warrant: The Voice Star Faces Legal Troubles

Country singer Kata Hay, known for her appearance on The Voice in 2016, has been arrested on a vehicular homicide warrant in Davidson County, Tenn. She fled to Oklahoma, where she was apprehended and taken to the Osage County Jail. Hay is facing charges related to leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and driving with an open container of alcohol. The incident occurred on Dec. 10, and the Goodlettsville Police Department issued a BOLO report, leading to her arrest near Pawhuska, Okla. Hay also has a pending DUI case in Davidson County, Tennessee.

Hay's arrest was a result of tips called in after the police department shared a BOLO report with her previous mugshot. She was believed to be traveling with a white male and possibly towing a large camper. Hay gained attention on The Voice when she auditioned with Gretchen Wilson's "Redneck Woman" and chose Christina Aguilera as her coach. She faced legal trouble in 2022 for having sexual contact with an underage boy, for which she served time in jail. Despite her legal issues, Hay has continued to release music sporadically, but her country music aspirations have been hindered by her ongoing legal battles.
