Slaughterhouse 2: Death Metal - A Gruesome Sequel Reviving a Cult Classic

In 1987, Rick Roessler and Jerry Encoe collaborated to create the slasher film "Slaughterhouse," which has now spawned a sequel, "Slaughterhouse 2: Death Metal." The sequel was recently filmed in Campo, California, and is now available for viewing on the Tubi streaming service. Inspired by a screening of the original film at Quentin Tarantino's New Beverly Cinema, Roessler decided to bring back the cult classic with a new storyline focusing on Cleavon, the third son of the Bacon family, who continues the gruesome legacy of producing "Wonder Jerky" with a secret ingredient – human flesh. Cleavon's son, RemDog, assists in the production using a flamethrower to dry out the meat. The film was made on a budget of $250,000 and features a cast of local actors and the metal band Hemlock. Despite the absence of Buddy Bacon in the sequel, fans of the original film can now revisit the world of "Slaughterhouse" with this long-awaited follow-up.
