Shakira Extends Residency in El Salvador with Two Additional Concert Dates

Shakira has announced that she will be adding two more concerts in El Salvador, bringing the total number of performances in February to five. The first three dates sold out in less than 24 hours, prompting the decision to extend the residency. President Nayib Bukele praised the strong ticket sales and confirmed the efforts to add more shows. The new dates are set for Feb. 7 and 8 at the Jorge "Mágico" González National Stadium in San Salvador.
The singer expressed her gratitude to her Central American fans for their support and officially confirmed the expanded schedule. The Central American residency of the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour will now include five concerts in El Salvador. The tour is in support of Shakira's 12th studio album and has been a major success in the music industry, generating over $327 million in revenue and selling more than 2.5 million tickets worldwide.
El Salvador's positioning as a venue for major regional events has been highlighted by the rapid sellout of tickets for Shakira's concerts. The country is set to benefit economically from the concerts, with an estimated impact of about $25 million. The Ministry of Tourism anticipates a boost in sectors such as hotels, transportation, retail, and services, with hotel occupancy expected to reach nearly 100% on concert nights. Visitors from neighboring countries like Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua are also expected to attend the shows.
The addition of two more concerts solidifies El Salvador as the exclusive host of the Central American residency of the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour. The expansion reflects the high demand for Shakira's music in the region and the country's ability to attract major international artists. Fans can now look forward to more opportunities to experience Shakira's electrifying performances in El Salvador.
