A Gainesville-based pizza restaurant inspired by David Bowie is gearing up for its official grand opening, despite already serving customers since the spring. Bowie Pizza is set to host its grand opening event on January 28th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 1522 Northwest 13th Street. The restaurant has been in a soft opening phase since March, taking over the former location of the Sweet Dreams ice cream shop, which closed two years ago.
