Former Texas Substitute Teacher and Boyfriend Arrested for Child Sexual Assault and Possession of Child Pornography

A former substitute teacher in Texas and her boyfriend were arrested for engaging in inappropriate sexual behavior with a child and possessing child pornography. Madison Paige Jones, 30, faced charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child, indecency with a child sexual contact, and possession of child pornography. She was taken into custody in Midlothian and held on a $90,000 bond. The Midlothian Independent School District confirmed that Jones had worked as a substitute teacher in the district but had not committed the alleged crimes on school grounds or with district students.
Jones had substituted at various schools in the district over the past year, including Heritage High School and Baxter Elementary. The district promptly terminated her employment upon learning of the accusations and reported the situation to the Texas Education Agency. Following Jones's arrest, her boyfriend, Zackery Dondlinger, 37, was also arrested and charged with sexual performance by a child. The two suspects were in a dating relationship, according to reports.
The case is currently under investigation by the Midlothian Police Department, with assistance from various agencies, including the Ellis County Children’s Advocacy Center, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Office of the Attorney General’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit. Dondlinger is being held at the Winkler County Detention Center awaiting arraignment. Authorities have not disclosed specific details about the alleged crimes committed by the suspects.
Anyone with information related to the case is encouraged to contact Midlothian Police Detective Dawson Frazer or the department directly. The police department expressed gratitude to the agencies involved in locating and apprehending Dondlinger. The community is urged to come forward with any additional tips or information that may assist in the ongoing investigation.
