Russell Wilson and Ciara Donate $3 Million to Enhance Pediatric Care at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital
Russell Wilson and Ciara have made a generous donation of $3 million to Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital in New York City through their Why Not You Foundation. The donation is intended to enhance therapeutic play and creative arts spaces for pediatric patients undergoing long-term care. Wilson, a quarterback for the New York Giants, has been actively involved in visiting children at the hospital on a weekly basis. The funding will support the creation of environments that help young patients deal with extended hospital stays in a more comforting and engaging manner.
A significant portion of the donation will be used to revamp "The Zone," a designated area where children can unwind, socialize, and engage in activities away from medical supervision. The remaining funds will be allocated towards establishing new creative arts and therapeutic play areas to promote emotional well-being in conjunction with medical treatment. Wilson shared that his personal experiences with his father's hospitalization due to diabetes and his mother's career as an ER nurse inspired him to make a positive impact through this donation.
In addition to the hospital donation, Wilson has undertaken other philanthropic endeavors this season. He recently launched a Cameo account where fans can request personalized video messages for a fee, with a portion of the proceeds going towards the Why Not You Foundation. Furthermore, Wilson has ventured into sports media by joining CBS Sports as a guest analyst during the 2025 NFL season, marking his first national studio analyst role while still an active NFL player.
Wilson's commitment to giving back extends beyond his charitable work, as he continues to make a difference both on and off the field. His dedication to supporting education, health, and community empowerment initiatives through the Why Not You Foundation exemplifies his passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others.
