The 13th annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Award nominations have been announced, with films like “One Battle After Another,” “Sinners,” “Weapons,” “Frankenstein,” and “Wicked: For Good” receiving multiple nominations. The makeup and hair team behind “One Battle After Another” was recognized for their work in contemporary makeup and special makeup prosthetics. Arjen Tuiten transformed Sean Penn’s character using prosthetic pieces, contact lenses, and dentures. In “Frankenstein,” Mike Hill used 42 prosthetic pieces to create Guillermo del Toro’s Creature. Francis Hannon faced the challenge of transforming actors into iconic characters in “Wicked: For Good.” Other nominated films include “Bugonia,” “Marty Supreme,” “Superman,” and “Battle of a Small Player.”

The TV category saw a tie in the best contemporary make-up in a television series, limited or movie for TV, with Netflix’s “Stranger Things” receiving four nominations. Lady Gaga’s hairstylist, Sarah Tanno, was also recognized for her work on the “Abracadabra” music video. The 13th Annual MUAHS Guild Awards, presented by L’Oréal Groupe and Giovanni Eco Chic Beauty, will take place on Feb. 14, 2026, at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles.
