From Beatles Biopic to Agatha Christie Adaptation: Mia McKenna-Bruce's Exciting Projects and Personal Journey

Mia McKenna-Bruce, a 28-year-old award-winning actress, is set to star in the upcoming Beatles biopic films titled The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event. She will portray Maureen Starkey, Ringo Starr's first wife, in the films scheduled for release in April 2028. McKenna-Bruce, who initially wasn't a fan of The Beatles, now appreciates their music and is excited about her role in the upcoming project. She will be joined by talented actresses Aimee Lou Wood, Saoirse Ronan, and Anna Sawai in the films directed by Sir Sam Mendes.

In addition to her role in The Beatles biopic, McKenna-Bruce will also star in the adaptation of Agatha Christie's novel The Seven Dials Mystery. Set in the 1920s, the series follows her character Lady Eileen "Bundle" Brent as she unravels a deadly plot at a country house party. McKenna-Bruce expressed her excitement about the project, highlighting the modern yet Agatha Christie-inspired tone of the series. She also shared her positive experience working with Helena Bonham Carter, who plays her on-screen mother in the series.

Reflecting on her personal life, McKenna-Bruce welcomed her first child, Leo, with her partner Tom Leach in August 2023. The couple got married in August the following year. McKenna-Bruce described motherhood as a new chapter in her life that has given her confidence and helped her be taken more seriously in her career. She emphasized that being a mother has given her a sense of purpose and drive in her professional endeavors.
