Philadelphia Flyers Acquire Philip Tomasino in Trade with Pittsburgh Penguins

The Philadelphia Flyers have made a trade with the Pittsburgh Penguins, acquiring forward Philip Tomasino in exchange for defenseman Egor Zamula. Tomasino will join the Flyers' AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Tomasino, a right winger, has played in both the NHL and AHL since being drafted in 2019, accumulating 95 points in 218 NHL games. In the 2024-25 season with the Penguins, he recorded 23 points and ranked second on the team in game-winning goals. Zamula, who spent six seasons with the Flyers, now joins the Penguins organization after recording 41 points in 168 NHL games with Philadelphia.
The Flyers will face the Calgary Flames tonight at the Scotiabank Saddledome at 7:30 p.m. MT / 9:30 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on NBCSP and can be heard on 97.5 The Fanatic.
