Packers' Clayton Tune to Start as Quarterback in Week 18 Against Vikings; Jordan Love Cleared from Concussion Protocol
Jordan Love has cleared the concussion protocol, but he will not be playing in Week 18. Packers coach Matt LaFleur has confirmed that Clayton Tune will be the starting quarterback against the Vikings this Sunday. Tune was on the practice squad last week and has now been promoted to the 53-man roster. The Packers have secured the seventh seed and Love will be gearing up for a road start in the upcoming wild card round of the playoffs.
Malik Willis took over for the Packers in their last game but suffered a shoulder injury. Tune had limited playing time in the loss, completing just 1-of-4 passes for eight yards with an interception. The team added Desmond Ridder to the practice squad, and there is a possibility he could be elevated to serve as Tune's backup for the final regular-season game. However, LaFleur has not made a final decision on this matter yet.
