Coldplace: The Tribute Band Taking the World by Storm

Coldplay had a successful year with a world tour, while a tribute band called Coldplace from Grimsby also had a stellar year. Shane Crofts formed Coldplace to play music by Coldplay, and the band now includes his brother Asa Crofts, Dean Stewart, and Wayne Birch. They have performed in around 40 countries, including India, where they played to 10,000 fans and got chased down the street. Coldplace's success has taken them on tours in the UK, Netherlands, Latvia, and Spain, among other countries.
Despite their busy schedule, some band members managed to attend a Coldplay concert in Hull and even went to the after-show party where Shane reunited with Chris Martin. Shane's children think it's him when they hear Coldplay's music on the radio and claim he is in the band. Coldplace appeared in Coldplay's music video for Cry Cry Cry and donated their fees to charity. The band has a busy schedule ahead with shows planned until 2028, including one in Hull and their hometown of Grimsby.
Fans who missed out on Coldplay tickets in Hull were disappointed, but Shane says Coldplace aims to give people a taste of what a Coldplay concert feels like on a smaller scale. Seeing Coldplace perform is a way to experience Coldplay's music until the band returns.
