Juvenile Recovering After Accidental Shooting Incident in Ohio Township
A juvenile in Ohio Township is recovering after an accidental shooting incident that occurred inside a home on Saturday morning. The Clermont County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call reporting the incident at a residence on state Route 132. The juvenile sustained a single gunshot wound to the back of the head but was conscious, breathing, and responsive.
Deputies and emergency crews arrived promptly at the scene and found the juvenile alert and communicating with family members. The juvenile was transported to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and is currently in stable condition. Both parents were present at the home and accompanied the juvenile to the hospital, with no other injuries reported.
The sheriff’s office Crime Scene Unit and detectives are conducting an investigation into the incident. Clermont County Children Protective Services has been informed for further assessment and follow-up. The case will be reviewed by the Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office. The juvenile remains in stable condition as medical evaluations are ongoing.
