BTS is making a highly anticipated return with a new album set to be released on March 20, marking their first album in six years. The upcoming project, which is yet to be titled, will feature 14 tracks that reflect the group's personal and collective growth. The members dedicated themselves to creating the album in the latter half of 2025, infusing their individual perspectives into the music.
In addition to the album release, BTS will embark on a tour to support their new music. The tour dates and venues will be unveiled on January 14 through a new website, 2026bts.com, where fans can find more information about the band's latest endeavors. The group's previous tour, Permission to Dance on Stage, concluded in April 2022 in Las Vegas, after which the members took a hiatus to fulfill their mandatory military service in South Korea.
The seven members of BTS, including RM, Suga, Jimin, V, J-Hope, Jungkook, and Jin, each completed their military service at different times, with Jin being the first to enlist in June 2024. During the group's hiatus, the members pursued solo projects and collaborations with various artists worldwide. J-Hope, Jimin, Suga, V, RM, and Jungkook released solo albums, while Jin released two solo EPs, collaborating with artists like Halsey, J. Cole, and Coldplay.
BTS had hinted at their comeback in 2026, with plans to release a new album in the spring of that year. The group expressed excitement about working together on new music that would showcase each member's unique contributions. RM shared his enthusiasm for the music being created in the studio, while Jungkook teased that the upcoming spring would be significant for the group and their fans.
